Minimize, Maximize, Close buttons are black in Word due to Bold menu font.
Cause:
The Windows 95 display properties were modified to apply bold formatting to the Menu item font.
Solution:
Remove the bold formatting from the Menu item in Windows 95 Control Panel.
1) Click 'Start' to display the Windows 'Start' menu.

2) Click 'Start' to display the Windows 'Start' menu.
3) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'.

4) Open 'Display'.
5) Click the 'Appearance' tab.
6) Select 'Menu' from the 'Item' drop-down list box.
7) Do one of the following:
a) Select a font from the 'Font' drop-down list box that is already bold. (For example, click Arial Black or Arial Rounded MT Bold).
b) To remove the bold format from the existing font, click on the 'B' to remove the bold format.
8) Click 'Apply'.
9) Click 'OK'.
